On February 2, 2018, Denis Paradis visited the sentier du Pionnier trail at the Marais de la Rivière aux Cerises marsh to see how work is progressing. In 2016, the Government of Canada granted $500,000 in funding to repair a 550-meter section of boardwalk that runs through the marsh.
