Denis Paradis, along with Jean–Claude Poissant, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, and Serge Beaulieu, President of the Federation of Quebec Maple Syrup Producers, announced $1.5 million in funding from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada to the Federation of Quebec Maple Syrup Producers to support maple syrup producers and their strategic plan to develop new markets in the United Kingdom and India.
“Thank you to Hautbois Normand Eastman for having us here this morning to make this important announcement. Maple syrup producers have been working hard for years to promote this national symbol. It is only natural for the government to help producers develop new markets in order to expand trade and increase production. Once again, congratulations !”
